Supported devices, browsers & operating systems

We do our best to make Sumdog available on as many devices as we can, but unfortunately devices must have a certain level of operating power to ensure Sumdog can run. If you have any questions, please contact us using the form in the top right corner.

 

From August 2026, only Apple devices on iOS 15 or higher will be able to run the current version of Sumdog.

This is because iOS versions prior to iOS 15 do not have the operating power required to support recent versions of the Sumdog app. 

The latest version of the Sumdog app is version 92.

Devices on iOS 13 and 14 will still be able to run v91 of Sumdog, and devices on iOS 12 will still be able to run v82, but these versions are no longer officially supported.

Tablets and smartphones

Important: If you're using Sumdog on a tablet or smartphone, you must use the app. Using Sumdog on a browser will not work on these devices.

Here are the minimum operating system requirements to run the Sumdog app:
  • Android you will need to have Android version 7.1 (Nougat) or later
  • Apple you will need to have Apple iOS 15.0 or later
  • Kindle Fire you will need to have Fire OS 6 or later

Computers and Laptops

  • Microsoft Windows you will need to be using Windows 10 or later
  • Mac OS you will need to be using version 10.10 (Yosemite) or later
  • Chromebooks will need to be using Chrome version 79.0.0.0 or later on the Chrome web browser.

Sumdog requires WebGL 2. You can check the status of WebGL 2 on your browser here.

Supported web browsers (for use on computers and laptops)

The following browsers and versions are required to access Sumdog:

  • Chrome/Edge you will need to be using version 79 or later. You can download the latest version of Chrome here and the latest version of Edge here.
  • Firefox you will need to be using version 57 or later. You can download the latest version of Firefox here.
  • Safari you will need to be using version 15.0 or later. You can download the latest version of Safari here.

Note: Internet Explorer is not a supported web browser.

Sumdog app (for use on phones or tablets)

If you're using a mobile device, you'll need to download and use the Sumdog app rather than the browser. The Sumdog app is available on on Android and Apple iOS. This makes it compatible with most major tablets and smartphones. We recommend keeping your Sumdog app updated to the latest version to ensure the best performance.

The following operating systems are required to run Sumdog games on tablet and smartphone devices:

  • Apple iOS you will need to be using iOS 15.0 or later to be able to install and update the Sumdog app. You can download and update the Sumdog app on your iPad/iPhone here.
  • Android you will need to be using Android version 7.1 or later to be able to install and update the Sumdog app. You can download and update the Sumdog app through the Google Play Store.
  • Amazon Kindle you will need to be using Fire OS 6 or later to be able to install and update the Sumdog app. You can download and update the Sumdog app from Amazon Playstore.
